A six-level medical facility was undergoing significant internal renovations to add new patient rooms on the 5th and 6th floors. To support the increased loads, it was necessary to reinforce the existing structure.

PULLMAN, in collaboration with STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, developed a comprehensive strengthening solution. To minimize disruption in the occupied building, all repairs were carried out from the 5th and 6th floors.

Using a combination of strengthening technologies, including STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES’ CSS V-Wrap™ System, PULLMAN reinforced the floor slabs. These technologies proved successful in this limited access environment. To reduce disruption, PULLMAN also prioritized dust protection, noise considerations, and means-and-methods evaluation. The project was completed safely on schedule, successfully upgrading the structure to meet current building codes.
